Bri Cleary

Tiny Core Director

Briana Cleary has proudly called Monroe, Wisconsin home since 2006, when she began her career teaching art in the School District of Monroe. She lives in Monroe with her husband, Patrick, and their daughters, Braylin and Elyse, both members of the 23 Dance Space Core Competitive Team.

Originally from Door County, Wisconsin, Cleary holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. In 2009, she earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. She achieved National Board Certification in 2011 and successfully renewed it in 2021.

A passionate advocate for art education, Cleary works to integrate the arts into all aspects of student learning—both within and beyond the classroom. Her dedication extends from the school level to district, community, and statewide initiatives.

Cleary’s background in dance began in middle school and continued through high school and college, where she was a four-year member of both her high school dance team and the UW–Stout dance team. In 2008, she began coaching the Monroe High School dance team, a brand new program at MHS. She helped lead the program to its first state appearance in 2011. She coached until 2013 before stepping back to focus on family.

Since 2022, Cleary has been part of the teaching staff at 23 Dance Space. She currently instructs the studio’s youngest competitive team, a role she has embraced since Season 5.
